Back in the day, when people walked through the neighborhood, we would speak to people sitting on their front porch. The porch was the place to people watch and meet and greet your neighbor. As a child, it was the vantage point from which to watch the world go by.

If you look at the political layout in america i don't think you are going to find that one party is closer to catholic beliefs than the other. Sometimes the conservative side likes to tout the republicans while ignoring the war mongering, corporate greed, and pro death penalty stances. The liberal catholics have a moral obligation to work within the democratic party to reform the pro-abortion plank and not be complicit about it. Just my thoughts. maybe it's time for a new political party.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. My question is in no way an attempt to offend. In St. Louis, the Archbishops have made the abortion question the only criteria for voting for politcians. I sincerely believe Jesus would not condone some other issues as well. Once again, thanks.
